Let’s make the first review of 2019 a good one! In one word, fantastic,
Lisa and Brian run an old school B and B where you are treated like one of the family. Brian even gives out advice like he did with his two boys but you don’t need to heed it! Probably just like the boys!
The house is spotless, the rooms are more then adequate, the breakfasts are basic but good, and the communal breakfast table is superb for sharing stories, lies, and spilling coffee! Easy and short walk to the centre of Wolfville and a mere short, 3 block walk to Wolfville’s newest brewpub.
Onsite parking, common sitting room with TV, some stairs, and a great feeling of being at home.
Lisa, despite leaving us alone with Brian while you went to Toronto, we will definitely make a return visit! Have a great summer season and keep cutting those lawns Brian!

A wonderful experience at the Garden House with Brian and Lisa. My plans changed at the last minute and Brian was very generous and accommodating. A beautiful spot that backs onto a gorgeous water view, and within walking distance of downtown and Acadia University. Don't hesitate to book here :)

Brian and Lisa are wonderful hosts. We met Brian first when we arrived and interrupted his gardening . He graciously ( and maybe happily because it was so hot) left his work and gave us the tour of his home and property. He has a great sense of humor and didn't hesitate at all to make his new found guests comfortable with his witty remarks. We met Lisa later that afternoon and she was just as delightful. We spent some time sitting in the garden and just enjoying the beautiful bushes and that huge weeping willow. They gave us information about some local activities and we took a short stroll to a local live theatre production about 10 minutes from the house. In the morning we had a fabulous breakfast made by Lisa while Brian was outside working like a wood chuck, and chucking wood for the long winter ahead. The hospitality we were given was greatly appreciated. The rooms were comfortable and the period furniture throughout the house was perfect with the history of the home. I did forget to take the sprigs of the plant ( Marrow?) that Brian was going to give me so it looks as if I will have to go back and pick them up someday, We recommend this B&B to anyone that will be in the area and needs a cosy friendly place to rest their weary bones. You will be glad you did,
Isabelle

I had a great stay at Lisa and Brian; they were just lovely, helpful, great and most welcoming hosts. Smooth check-in, excellent WiFi and great communication. A very quiet place to stay, very convenient, and great access to downtown Wolfville and Acadia University for visiting the kids. The room, bathroom and entire house were spotless and I felt very much welcome. Brian was very kind picking me up on my arrival and also dropping me at Acadia U. for my return bus, thank you sir!!. The breakfast was truly amazing, two courses. Thank you so much again Lisa and Brian for your hospitality, I would definitely stay here again and absolutely recommend to my friends if they come by this way.

We stayed at the very beautiful Garden House for 3 nights this past July. It is definitely worth staying more then 1 night. We fell in love with Wolfville and Garden House. Brain was a wonderful host, kind and warm. And an amazing chef. The breakfasts alone are worth staying longer. All the rooms are lovely and extremely clean. We felt very at home, and enjoyed the beautiful garden in the back, a peaceful place to chill, enjoy a glass of wine or morning coffee. This place has a lot of soul!!
We will most definitely return!! We miss it already!!

We stayed here many years ago, 1999, and always recommend it to friends heading to NS. They all come home having had a similarly wonderful experience. Brian and Lisa are lovely hosts, the accommodations are spotlessly clean and beautiful and breakfast, delicious. I won't ever forget coming into our bedroom our first night, after dinner at a restaurant. Our 6 year old daughter's teddy bear had been placed on her bed, sitting up under the covers, as though just waiting for our little girl to get home! It was a magic moment for her!

Nine years ago, my sister and I started a tradition of 'getting away' - leaving everyone/everything behind and heading to the Valley - only an hour's drive, but a world away for us. We happened upon the Garden House B&B nine years ago by chance...and we feel truly blessed. We always stay with Brian and Lisa for several reasons - the home itself is one of the most warm and welcoming homes I've been in and the gardens are spectacularly serene - special little subtle touches by Brian and Lisa are noticed everywhere. It reminds me of staying at my Grandmother's beautiful farmhouse when I was a child. Breakfast is always a wonderful experience - we have met so many amazing people around the table from all over the world. Brian and Lisa are the most wonderful hosts - you could literally sit for hours (and we have!) chatting with them. We always look forward to going back, and Brian and Lisa always make us feel extremely welcome. I can't imagine staying anywhere else!

My daughter and I loved our visit to Wolfville. Our stay at The Garden House was a great experience. Warm and comfortable, lots of friendly conversation and great tips on what was worthwhile to visit while in town. Brian is a great cook and wonderful host.

Spent four nights at this wonderful spot. Comfy, cozy and great breakfast. We stayed at multiple B & B's this was my favourite. Although we had a rent a car, it was really nice to walk each morning as we were close to the basin and also on the main street. Exactly as described on the website with lots of friendliness.
